Toqué! Is pleased to welcome the Honorary President Yves Mattagne’s Dinners. Chef Yves Mattagne insists on using high-quality products and knowing where they come from, taking great care to avoid denaturing them. Serving at Sea Grill, a restaurant boasting two Michelin stars, he specializes in fish and seafood, which will be spotlighted in this dazzling meal.
A unique tasting menu for the evening : 300$ per person including wine and service ( taxes supp)
Passionate practitioners of their craft, Yves Mattagne and Normand Laprise have invited Marc De Canck, the great Brussels-born Montreal chef of La Chronique, to join them. He will prepare the appetizers and sweet finger foods for this prestigious meal.

Among other treats, Camarda will be offering a salmanazar (9 litres) of 1998 Klipsun merlot, personalized for Toqué!

L’OPÉRA DE MONTRÉAL
On four occasions throughout the operatic season, Chef Laprise and his brigade will join with Pierre Birlichi of Raisonnance wines agency who conceived the unique idea of gourmet evenings staged in the costume workshop of the Opera located under the main stage. That is where “the little hands” create their magic and where 8 guests and a sponsor will gather for a special signature dinner by Toqué! with Relais & Châteaux service in fine china and crystal. As the wines are oganic participants will doubtless remain awake for the stirring, splendid sounds of the opera after dinner. Benefits raised with these evenings are donated to the Opéra de Montréal demonstrating the harmony between the culinary arts, winemaking and the stage.

“Seduce with food” as Casanova would have said. And history reveals, like other famous seducers or notorious courtesans that the game of love and seduction begins first and foremost…at the table.
On February 11 and 14th, Toqué! is offering a special tasting menu unique to St.Valentine’s day.
It’s a unique chance to succumb to temptation with impeccable products, reinvented classics, creations of the moment and seductive wines selected by Samuel, chief sommelier and master guide of these exceptional evenings. Some superlative items on the surprise menu of Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux Normand Laprise will include a foie gras terrine passionately prepared and accompanied by a waffle of buckthorn berries and for dessert a “fake truffle” to conquer the taste buds of dashing Casanovas and sweet Columbines.
